Rosary
What is the Rosary
The Rosary is a contemplative prayer in which we pray anHomed meditate on the mysteries of salvation. There are four sets of Mysteries - Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious (Pope St John Paul II recommended the Luminous Mysteries be added to the tradition 3 to deepen the awareness of Christ's Ministry).
Usually prayed on string of beads (some use a decade ring, others just count their fingers), the Rosary at its simplest begins with the Creed, an Our Father, 3 Hail Mary's, and a Glory Be, followed by the five Mysteries (See below) with and our Father, 10 Hail Mary's, and a Glory Be. After the mysteries are finished, there is a Hail Holy Queen, and an St. Michael's Prayer. Other prayers, especially those taught by in the Visions of Fatima, are also advised.

The Sign of the Cross:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The Apostles’ Creed:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Our Father:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. (For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory now and forever.) Amen.
Hail Mary:
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women, and blest is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death. Amen.
Glory Be:
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and forever will be forever, world without end. Amen
O, My Jesus (Optional after Glory Be):
O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy. Amen.
Hail, Holy Queen:
Hail, holy queen, mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our cries, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy on us,
and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, o loving, o sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, holy Mother of God that we may be worthy of the promises of Christ.
Prayer after the Rosary:
O God, whose only begotten Son, by his life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech thee, that meditating upon these mysteries of the most holy rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain, and obtain what they promise. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
Memorare:
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
