We are blessed to have Catholic Charities with the Diocese of New Ulm. Service they provide are:

INDIVIDUAL, MARRIAGE, AND FAMILY COUNSELING

Addressing issues related to individual stress or family conflict, chemical dependency, communication breakdowns, domestic violence, separation and divorce, parenting skills, and other mental health needs. Mediation, group conflict resolution, and employee assistance counseling is also offered. Assessments are provided for remarriages, with counseling for engaged couples and pre-marriage inventory interpretations. Spiritual direction is also available.

PARISH AND COMMUNITY RESPONSE

Working with individuals, families or parishes to address needs, supply emergency resource materials or develop emergency response services in the wake of a tragedy or natural disaster.

PREGNANCY AND ADOPTION COUNSELING, PROJECT RACHEL, AND RESPECT LIFE RESOURCES

Pregnancy support services include assistance with future planning, finding resources, preparing for the birth of a child, and relationship counseling. Information on adoption and assistance in discerning an adoption plan and its options as well as resources for people interested in adopting are also available. Abortion can be one of the most traumatic experiences in a person's life. The Church's message is one of healing and hope. Counseling and spiritual support are provided for those affected by abortion.

TRANSITION AND GRIEF SERVICES

Counseling, support group referrals, volunteer outreach and education services for persons and families experiencing a grief loss from death, separation, or a related tragedy.

The gift of sexuality is a gift that is best given as a whole, with fertility and desire for deeper union as two inseparable major components.  The use of any artificial contraception limits the expression of the gift of fertility and the gift of self to the other.  It holds it back at best, or negates it completely.  How can you make a whole gift or yourself and hold something so important and God-given back?

Natural Family Planning (NFP) methods teach the couple about the rhythm of their fertility, especially the woman's cycle, and help them discern their mutually fertile time. If there is just reason to avoid pregnancy, the couple can then choose to be chaste during that period of time. There are three common types of NFP
